Baxter's toe

when i, Bailey, was just a pup, the human thought i should have a friend, so she got Baxter for me.  he's been my best buddy for most of my entire life.

maybe you have heard that Baxter has had more than his share of challenges in his life.

he has degenerated disks in his back and sometimes his back legs don't want to hold him up.

he is allergic to just about everything and has been undergoing allergy shots for the past 6 months, but they aren't working yet, darnit.

now we have learned that our sweet Baxter buddy has a spindle cell tumor in his toe and he may have to have his toe removed.  the vet said some fancy words about spindle cell carcinoma.  he is going to have a surgery next week for a biopsy.  then, after his biopsy results, the vet said that he will have to have another surgery to remove his toe.

i'm really worried about my Baxter.  human is too.  she won't talk about it, but i can read her mind.

she is going to talk to the vetty that did my TPLO surgeries to see if he will take care of Baxter.

then she is going to beg another special vetty to accept Baxter as a patient and make him strong and healthy so he won't get sick any more never again.

so we are all putting our paws together for Baxter, my bestest friend, and the human says he is her love dog.  i know there are other pups out there that need help and our dear friend, Asta, is moving to a far away place. i'm afraid the power of the paw may be spread pretty thin right now.  if any dog has any power of the paw left, we would appreciate a little for our sweet Baxter.

thank you, friends.

making an appearance

i can't believe it's been more than a month since we last posted.

the human took us to get our photos taken with santa paws.  we planned for this for an eternity and got all ready and were there early and ready to look our best.  this is the sad result.  human was not pleased with this photo.   of course  we look handsome, but where are we all?  all you can see of Benson is his collar and his teeth.  Walter looks so tiny.   poor little Walter.

the human wanted to have Walter get his photo done  individually with santa paws and this is another disappointing result.

oh sure, santa looks great, but poor Walter doesn't look too comfortable or happy.   we had been hoping to make a holiday card with these photos, but that isn't going to happen.

i guess we'll have to try again next year.
